HOLY CRAP A NEW THREAD? (new music)

I know we're not doing chiptune for the game but I've been working stuff out thematically for Allacrost involving the Claudius theme and I've adapted them for lower fidelity instrumentation. This is not going to go in the game. I just wanted to show that I was still alive! https://soundcloud.com/rya...

Re: Hello Gentlemen

Hey there/ Been a while!

Usually for interface or sequencing, I use Logic 9 but it's been a real bastard to deal with in terms of stability since upgrading my mac os to Yosemite. Not sure if I am going to stick with logic 9 or move to Reaper, which is the industry standard these days.

Re: Hello Gentlemen

Thanks, Rain. I'm absorbing what you linked me. There is a lot of variety there, so trying to pick it apart and analyze it to imitate the style would probably not be a very efficient approach. Then I would recommended picking a piece that you like and trying to mimic the style of the piece. That'd ...

Re: Hello Gentlemen

Thanks for sending those. There is some real promise there, imo. I don't know if it will fit the soundtrack but that depends on how we consolidate our resources for future use. If you are actually interested in contributing to the soundtrack, it might prove helpful to give you some examples of the d...

Re: Hello Gentlemen

Hi. Holy crap it's been a while. Bsbray, I would very much welcome the opportunity to hear what you have to offer in the form of a sample or example that highlights what you can bring to the project. Without some kind of sample for us to look at, it will be difficult for us to tell if your work will...

Re: On Colorful Language

I didn't think the Final Fantasy XII text was really engaging. It sounded like something that was taking it self to seriously and thus lost opportunities to provide a wider range of color. It didn't seem very colorful to me, just very 'shakespearean'. IN A BAD WAY. Like over the top. It was suitable...

Re: Anime worth watching

Can someone point me to something else that might be a little more to my liking? Watch Berserk. Its very dark, very anti-hero, and very very awesome. :approve: For some reason, I anticipated Berserk being mentioned. :D And yes, I will check it out. I've always been curious about it. It sounds just ...

Re: Anime worth watching

I just started watching the complete Inuyasha series and while I like it, I yearn for something a bit darker and more violent. What I do like about the series is the japanese mythological creatures and the relationship between characters along with anti-hero of sorts Inuyasha. It's very well polishe...

Re: My Game Artwork

I second the comments of my buds here and will just say this (since they've already mentioned everything of value). Our artists are pretty stretched as is. Also, it is a bit rude to come to a project and ask for artists when the resources aren't plentiful to begin with. Go to a place where the artis...

We've all had crappy roommates before. (well, some of us have at least) This guy takes the cake for best idea at getting back at a stupid roommate.

I found this hysterical. Does this make me a bad person? :heh:

Re: Triathlons

All in all, it was really fun and more difficult than I thought it would be. Best of all, when the final results came out, I found that I won 1st place in my age division. Not bad for my first triathlon, eh? :D Anyway I plan on doing one race a month ending in October, so maybe I'll update this thr...

Re: just face it: The Allacrost project is dead.

You heard it here first folks. The writing is on the wall. We are riding a dead horse.

I gotta tell you though, for a dead horse, this sucker still runs pretty fast. Slow and steady wins the race. ;)
