'Buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo buffalo buffalo Buffalo buffalo.'

If anyone can tell me what the above phrase means without looking it up I will be madly impressed with your mastery of the English language.

I already looked it up on Wikipedia when you first made the post. :) I didn't know the verbal usage of the word buffalo.

I knew it, though I didn't remember the exact structure, mainly because I didn't care.

Three (ocasionally somewhat ribald) commentaries that are nonetheless piercingly insightfu:

- http://www.pointlesswasteoftime.com/misery.html
- http://www.cracked.com/article_15663_go ... ee-on.html

(Side note: Do Not start a "Christians vs. Atheists" debate here. Don't even write a single line to that effect. It will accomplish nothing except pissing each other off. It is -not- cool to do.)

As I was walking by a wall at work, this was posted on there. It stopped me in my tracks and I stared at it for 5 minutes, dumbfounded. It distracted me all day yesterday until I found out the answer. :)

Look closely at what they're doing here; it's not mere rotation, but something more profound:
