Take a look at this:
http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... es&days=30
In the last 30 days, I've been the only one updating the wiki (with the exception of MindFlayer who added a quote to our quote board). Not cool. I would appreciate it if you guys helped out a little more with keeping things up to date, because there's no way I can do it myself. Here are some of the major things I've changed in the past 30 days:
- http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... pendencies
I organized this into three categories: libraries in our latest release, library changes we currently use in svn, and future library changes that are planned, but not used in svn yet.
- http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... xploration
Worked on this page a little (its part of our design document) that explains from a player's/artist's/map designer's point of view how maps are formed and what features are available.
- http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... work_Needs
Changed the entire format of this page to be less of a status page and more of a "here's what we're working on, help fill in the blanks" page.
- http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... deo_Engine
Split the video engine documentation up into multiple pages to make it easier to read through and not so intimidating.
- http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... y_Timeline
Put together a simple timeline of major events in the story, to help us keep track of things.
- http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... Dictionary
Started a page to contain a dictionary of the names of people, places, and things that are unique to the Allacrost story. Figure it wouldn't hurt to have something like this around.
- http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... ding_Needs
Completely scratched this page and replaced it with a very simple "to-do" list. No more completion estimates or long explanations (I figure the forums will be for that). Just a simple list of things we need to get done.
- http://allacrost.sourceforge.net/wiki/i ... n_Document
On this page I listed a very simple and brief explanation of the design features of Allacrost, rather than typing up one of those crazy 50-200 page design documents that other groups make. The purpose here is to have us all in-synch as far as what the important aspects of Allacrost will be.
Obviously, many of those pages are not completely filled out yet. So if you're wondering what you can do on the wiki, filling out the blank spots is a start. Don't make the dictator do all the work! Its supposed to be the other way around.
