Awesomest potions in the universe. :approve:
'When Zeon lost his powers, he fell to Earth, and created a giant crator where he hit. His moan destroyed the mountains and the crater was buried by the debris.'

As you wish. :approve:

Added an über red potion. It may have a few bits of tweakery I still need to apply.. I just need to defamiliarize myself with it, first.

I have a good idea. :) When we finally get a forum skin of our own, the new posts and no new posts icons can be a filled potion versus an empty potion. :D

Haha, excellent idea. When I contacted nunvuru I asked if he could cut up the theme he designed if he has time, so that we at least have it if any of us has the ability to put it together.

Something that would be useful to have are icons that are used to represent the types of objects. I recommend putting two different objects in the image, so that it is clear that the icon represents a "class" of objects instead of a single one. We'd need a total of eight of these:

- Items (a potion + a small sack?)
- Weapons (a sword + a mace?)
- Head Armor (a helmet + tiara?)
- Torso Armor (breast plate + old-style kevlar?)
- Arm Armor (gauntlets + leather protectors?)
- Leg Armor (greaves + leather leggings?)
- Shards (multiple colors & shapes?)
- Key Items (scroll + a valuable necklace?)

We can probably take some existing icons and mix-and-match them together to create the category icons.

Will get to it soon.

But meanwhile... New potions!

No key items icon yet; just ran out of hoodoo before I could get to it. I'll finish it next.

They look great so far. :approve: I do have some criticism about the icons though, the big one being that some of these are not very intuitive when you look at them (in fact, I've been staring at some of them for more than a minute trying to figure them out). Thoughts on each:

- Items: this one is the most  to me. Its the one on the top row, far right, correct? It looks to me like a mug of ale sitting atop an unrolled official document of some sort... not typical RPG items :eyebrow:

- Weapons: looking good for the most part I think. I would remove the little pointy thing on the far left, since you can't really tell what it is and it kind of distracts from the icon.

- Head Armor: love the circlet, but the helmet(?) looks very odd. I can't even tell how that would fit on a person's head.

- Torso Armor: perfect :approve:

- Arm Armor: :approve:

- Leg Armor: :approve:

- Shards: these look too perfect. They look more like jewelry than something imbued with mystical powers that you'd attach to armament. I was thinking that these would look more rough and unpolished. Imagine small stones that you would normally find at your feet that are glowing, but are partially covered with dirt and a normal rocky surface. Example: http://wedigwisconsin.com/shards.jpg

Sorry to be so nit-picky, just wanted to offer an observer's insight into these.

The torso armor first looked like horse armor to me :heh:

I can't tell what represents what.

Is the upper left one Gloves perhaps? Regardless the artwork is amazing. But then, I don't really expect anything less than that from Jetryl. :approve:

Gloves + Bracers; the one below it is boots + greaves.

It's an arrowhead, I felt it necessary to balance the composition. I'll try and figure out something else to do the job (be it a different prop, or moving the sword/axe).

- Head Armor: love the circlet, but the helmet(?) looks very odd. I can't even tell how that would fit on a person's head.

The helmet is a very classical design; however, I might want to move it closer to the center of the image so that more of it can be seen.

[img:133:125]http://www.allacrost.org/staff/user/jetryl/Other/300helmet.png[/img]

Those are very normal items in the RPGs I'm used to playing. :eyebrow:

But to elaborate - the problem I have to solve with this and the "key items" icon is that I need to make a great distinction in "value" between them. I need to make the key items one look very arcane, and make the regular items one look very mundane. Otherwise it's going to look like "items A" and "items B".

- Shards:
Will do.

A couple of Wesnoth ones are missing, the dragon tail still missing here
[img:60:60]http://exong.net/wesnoth-attach/files/tail_dragon_915.png[/img]
And the yeti fist too ...
[img:60:60]http://exong.net/wesnoth-attach/files/fist_yeti_203.png[/img]
(IIRC this one still needs a bit of cleaning)

The category icons really dont look too well...

I posted them in Wesnoth forum...
Those still need some work so if anybody wants to improve them, s/he will be welcome.

Would anyone be interested in doing an icon for drunes (the game's currency)? I'm thinking of a few small, grey/silver, shiny (but not polished), half ellipsoid (raised center) coins falling out of a small brown sack would do the trick nicely. It would be nice to have an icon for money and use it regularly rather than just presenting the player with "you have XXX gil" like other games do. It would give a sense of substance I feel :approve:

When I saw the potions, I thought they were stolen from wc3. (compliment kind of =] )
I remixed the potion that is in the demo.
[img:60:60]http://nothingdoesntsuck.googlepages.com/antidote.png[/img]
Changed color and removed bubbles.
The changes are trivial and asking for the license would be silly. (Just in case)

Thank you, I'm flattered, actually. :D

Well, it's implicitly under the GPL since you derived it from something already GPL. But anyways, for the potions, since we're not going to have a ton of different varieties, we'd actually like all of them to be unique.

I like that color scheme, and if you think you could produce a few potions like it, please do. Or at least even attempt making one. Take a shot at it - you don't know what you can do until you try, and even if the results aren't good, I can polish them into being good, and starting from your work will save me time..
